He is the current president of Bradesco Seguros. He was selected from a pool of several vice presidents of the bank.
The Selection Process
According to the information shared by Luiz Carlos Trabuco, the process of selection of Bradesco’s CEO is a well planned and thought out one. There is the Succession and Appointment Committee set up by Bradesco according to valor.com.br. Therefore, in his view, there is no reason for alarm or for customers and other stakeholders to be anxious. Mr. Trabuco will still hold his position at the bank as the chairman of the Board of Executive Directors until March 12th, when he will formally hand over to Mr. Octavio De Lazari. The formal announcement of Lazari as the bank’s next CEO is expected to happen before the Carnival. Of course, before the selection committee settling on Mr. Octavio Lazari, there was a lot of expectation from various quarters. Some interested followers of the happenings at Bradesco had their bets on Mr. Mauricio Minas, who is the vice president in charge of Technology at the bank currently. Other expectations also sufficed.
Trabuco happens to be a long-serving member of the bank. He started his career at the age of 17 when he joined Banco Bradesco. He worked in several departments until he became the Marketing Director after 15 years. Mr. Trabuco is credited with the modernization of the bank, among other improvements. He became Bradesco Vida e Previdencia’s president in 1992, Managing Director Of Banco Bradesco in 1998, The president of Bradesco Seguros in 2003, and finally, the president of Bradesco in 2009.
Mr. Luiz Carlos Trabuco has a Masters Degree in Sociology from Fundacao University. He also holds a degree in philosophy.
